French Language Camp at LeMoyne College

Description:
Camp is a one-week summer residential program that is designed for high school language students. Students 'live the language' for 24 hours a day for one week, while staying in a college dormitory. The students attend classes, participate in sports, play games, work on projects, listen to music, dance etc, everything a teenager would do in a French-speaking country. They watch movies, but in the native language. Activities are under the supervision of 'master teachers' certified in French.

Program Information:
coed • open to high school students with at least two years of French
July 19 through Saturday, July 25, 2009
cost: $795 aidable tuition and $280 room and board

Le Moyne College Baseball Camps

Description:
The Le Moyne College Baseball Camp is designed to give the young baseball player an opportunity to develop and improve his baseball skills while at the same time providing him with the opportunity to experience an enjoyable week on a college campus. An experienced and enthusiastic coaching staff will teach all the fundamental skills that are necessary for one to develop into a better baseball player. Game playing is also an important part of the camp as it will allow the individual to put into play the skills he has developed throughout the week. While specializing at a position throughout camp, during these games the players will be given the opportunity to work-out at other positions. The focus will be on player development and improvement.

Program Information:
boys • ages 13-18 • commuter or overnight • June 28-July 2, 2009
The camp is under the direction of Steve Owens, Head Baseball Coach at Le Moyne College
cost for commuter campers- $325 covers tuition for camp, meals, and secondary insurance
cost for residential campers- $395 covers tuition for camp, lodging, meals, and secondary insurance.

Le Moyne College Weekend Little League Baseball Camp

Description:
This is a camp for boys of Little League age (8-12) who like the game of baseball and are interested in learning more about the game while having fun. The program is designed to provide instruction in the fundamentals of baseball. This instruction will be given by college coaches and players.

An emphasis will be placed on proper throwing, fielding, and hitting mechanics with a variety of take home drills explained for each. Drill segments and game play will be geared so that all players, beginning and advanced, will experience success. In addition to having fun, we will attempt to convey the importance of the hard work, repetition, and desire needed to play at higher levels. It is with these thoughts in mind that this camp is offered.

Program Information:
boys • ages 8-12 • commuter or residential • June 19, 20, and 21, 2009
cost: $185- This is an all-inclusive fee covering tuition, lodging, food (all they can eat; same meals the college kids receive during their term), accident insurance, and a baseball hat.

LeMoyne Soccer Academy Day Camp- Two Sessions:
boys and girls • ages 5-14
Ages 5-7 (Soccer Squirts): morning session from 9am-12 pm.
Ages 8-14: full day session from 9am-3pm.
Session I: July 20- July 23, 2009
Session III: August 3-August 6, 2009
Fees: Full day session = $170.00 - includes ball and T-shirt.
Soccer Squirts = $90.00 - includes ball and T-shirt.

LeMoyne Soccer Academy Residential Camp for Girls:
girls • ages 10-17 • commuter and residential options • July 26-30, 2009
Fees: $370.00 Residential Player; $300.00 Commuter Player
Fee covers tuition, lodging (if required), camp T-shirt and a ball.
The Residential Camp will provide an opportunity for girls ages 10-17 to train and spend a week on the Le Moyne campus.

Summerfame at LeMoyne College
Theater, Technical Design, Vocal Music, Dance

Description:
This musical theater experience is a RESIDENTIAL intensive experience for students entering grades 9-12 to train in several performance disciplines: dance, technical design, theater, vocal music and musical theater.
Musical Theater
Performance students may elect to focus on acting or singing at Summerfame. Actors and singers will work on scenes from a diverse array of musical theater pieces in order to learn and hone skills in all aspects of this popular artistic genre. All performance students will work with a choreographer to complete the musical theater experience. Scenes will be performed at the Summerfame finale for family and friends on Friday, July 31st at 5:00 p.m.
Technical Theater Design
Will you have a school musical next Fall or Spring? How will you light it? How will you stage manage? What about sound? Sets? Come to Summerfame. We will teach you insights, tricks, and practices in technical theater design, stage management, a chance to learn how the pros work! Students interested in stage management and theatrical design will receive instruction in all areas of technical theater – set design, lighting, sound and special effects. You will travel to Oswego to manage the stages and the acts at Harborfest, a summer festival between 7/23-7/26. Then return to SummerFame and ‘be the boss.’ You will be the stage managers, lighting technicians, sound technicians for the Summerfame Finale.

coed • residential • students entering grades 8 - 12 by recommendation of teacher or private instructor
Sunday, July 19 - 31, 2009 • Tuition - $1,156; Room and Board - $421 (One half unit of arts credit toward high school graduation available through home school districts)

Additional Information:
Jr. SUMMERFAME is an intensive one-week (mornings only) instrumental music program for students entering 6, 7 or 8th grade. The program is held at the Cazenovia High School, Cazenovia, NY July 6 - 10, 2009.
