New York Film Academy High School Film Camp
Description: Founded in 1992 in Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Film Center, the New York Film Academy is best known for offering the most hands-on and intense filmmaking and acting programs in the world. Because of our educational approach, many of todays top filmmakers and actors send their sons and daughters to our school.
The New York Film Academy summer camps are designed for teenagers 14-17 years in age and tweens 10-13 years in age. Camps at both age levels offer exceptional learning environments for those interested in learning the craft of filmmaking or acting. Our 1, 2, 3 & 6 week camps provide a basic level of training in filmmaking, using the same equipment as the nation’s leading undergraduate film programs. All students learn how to write, shoot, direct and edit their own films!
Students in our acting camps will participate in courses that
concentrate on developing a foundation of acting using training
techniques for theater and film, while our primary focus is on acting for film. Our acting camps are often integrated with our film camps, providing many one-of-a-kind advantages for the acting camp student interested in working in front of the camera.
