Description:
QC KinderKamp and Education Program with Sports Component:
This program provides enrichment for youngsters who wish to develop talents and interests outside their regular schools. Offerings are not designed exclusively for the 'gifted' or as remedial courses intended solely for poor achievers, but will extend the regular school curriculum. There is special emphasis on our state-of-the-art technology advanced computer labs for ages 7-8, 9-10 and 11-14. The baseline for every class will be creative exploration. The program is combined with a half day of sports activities.

CPSM is proud to be offering two music programs this summer.
Taking place in the unsurpassed facilities of the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College
These programs offer an intensive musical experience for participants.

Summer Jazz Camp:
J July 6 - July 30, 2009 • Monday - Thursday, 9:30AM - 3:30PM • Tuition: $1,650 (Early bird discount: $1,600 for registrations received on or before May 4.) • Ages: 12 - 18
This program is designed to meet the needs of both beginning and experienced jazz students.
The camp presents students with a systematic approach to learning numerous jazz styles, from basic blues, bebop, and swing to advanced modern forms of jazz composition.

Musical Theater Workshop:

This workshop provides students with a unique opportunity to study all aspects of musical theater. Classes will consist of vocal technique, dance, song/audition repertoire, acting and scene study.

Guitar and Percussion Workshop
July 6 - July 23, 2009, Monday through Thursday, 10AM - 2PM
Ages: 10 - 16
Tuition: $700.00
Beginner, intermediate and advanced players will be accepted in this workshop. The workshop will feature instruction for guitar and percussion students, that will focus on performance techniques, and other related issues. All performers will rehearse daily, and a final concert at the end of the workshop will feature the students in a variety of ensembles.

CPSM also offers several other programs during summer session, including:
Chamber Music Workshop for intermediate through advanced strings, winds and pianists.
Private Instrumental Instruction on all instruments throughout the summer session.
Suzuki Piano Workshops
