Rochester on Campus - ROC
|
|
Description: Rochester on Campus, also known as ROC, provides high school students—local, national, or international—the opportunity to study and live at the University of Rochester, one of only 25 schools named a 'New Ivy' by Kaplan and Newsweek. Students attend courses taught on campus by select UR faculty, graduate students, and top local educators. They have the opportunity to interact with University faculty, preview the kinds of classes available to college students, and participate in hands-on labs, experiments, and projects. By approaching education with the attitude of exploration and intellectual curiosity, students learn how to think independently and become aware of the limitless possibilities available to them – both in and out of the classroom. The on campus experience helps students make informed decisions about what they want out of their future college experience.
