Description:
Westchester Art Workshop offers summer and after-school art classes for children and teens. The program offers a broad range of classes in photography and the visual arts for students from 6-15 years of age; classes meet once a week, Mon.-Thurs. for two hours. We provide a friendly and creative environment, highly experienced teachers, and fully equipped art studios. Give your child a wonderful and memorable experience in the arts!

Digital Photo:
Students will learn how to use a basic point and shoot digital camera. An overview of Adobe Photoshop will also be taught as well as developing their creative eye for photography.
Ages 13-15 Tues. 1-3 am, ages 10-13 Thurs. 1-3pm
Ceramics:
Students will learn to think visually and develop creativity through the use of clay.
Ages 13-15 Mon. 10am-12pm, ages 6-8 Wed. 10-12pm, ages 10-13 Wed. 1-3pm
Animation:
This class will focus on preparing students to create their own animations through intensive drawing and studying movement.
Ages 10-13 Mon. 1-3pm, ages: 13-16 Wed. 1-3pm
Jewelry:
Learn the creative aspects of the art of metalworking in this introductory course.
Students will design and construct necklaces, bracelets, pins and other objects in a fully equipped jewelry studio.

Painting and Drawing:
An introduction to the variety of materials, tools, and techniques of two-dimensional art. Class exercises will explore color, composition, still life, and portraiture.

Black and White Photography:
Students will discover the excitement of learning basic camera use and darkroom techniques. They will be taught to expose properly, process negatives, and print their own black and white photographs. Students need to supply their own 35mm film camera.

Computer Art:
In this course students will learn basic graphic design principles and learn the software Adobe photoshop.
Projects will be focused on creating original computer art.
Ages 13-15 Wed. 1-3pm
Sculpture:
This class will cover the fundamentals of sculpture through a variety of media such as clay, found objects, wire and wood.
Students will learn different methods and techniques to combine materials.

Mixed Media:
In this class students will explore a variety of materials such as collage, clay, paint and drawing
